- Installation of MySQL, minimum HW and SW requirements.
- Free programs – Query builder, TOAD.
- User accounts, user and administrator rights.
- Environment configuration, starting and stopping the server.
- Listing information about processes and database objects.
- Setting variables.
- Connecting and disconnecting databases.
- Database backup and restore.
Basics of Relational Databases
- Familiarization with the relational database model, basic terms.
- Client/server architecture.
Working with a Table
- New table, column types and data types.
- Writing data, editing a table, inserting and deleting data.
- Sorting records, filtering records.
- CREATE TABLE, ALTER, DROP.
Relations between Tables, Indexes
- Setting and properties of relations, relationship types, NULL value, primary and foreign key.
- Indexes.
SQL Language Commands
- SELECT, FROM, JOIN, WHERE, GROUP BY, HAVING, ORDER BY.
Aggregate Functions
- MIN, MAX, AVG, SUM, etc.
- Combining the WHERE condition – AND and OR operators, LIKE operator.
- LEFT, RIGHT and INNER JOIN.
Working with Views
- Creating views, deleting, modifying and appending views.
- Use of built-in functions, import and export of data.
- Transactions and locks.
Programming in MySQL
- Variables, branching and loops.
- Cursors and handlers.

- Triggers (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE).

- Report templates, report controls, using sections and page breaks, using expressions in reports, sorting and grouping, group header and footer.
