DraftSight is a freely shared 2D CAD editor that is suitable for creating professional CAD graphics. It is intended for fields such as architecture, interior design, construction, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering. It works on very similar principles to the well-known AutoCAD, saves and opens drawings in dwg/dxf format and is fully compatible with AutoCAD. DraftSight contains a set of tools for drawing and modifying objects, creating layers and dimensioning. It is also possible to set up a drawing for printing.
Minimum input knowledge
Basic knowledge in the area of working on a PC.

- getting familiar with the user environment customizing the user interface: automatic saving period, cursor settings, screen color, etc., working with files, import and export, selecting objects, entering coordinates, auxiliary functions in the status bar - Snap, Grid, Ortho, Polar, ESnap, ETrack..., modification commands: extend, trim, zoom, chamfer, fillet, move, rotate..., working with layers, working with blocks, external references, text: inserting text, writing, text properties, hatching, dimensioning and dimension settings, preparing drawings for printing, practical exercises for creating 2D drawings.
