Course Autodesk Inventor 3 - Methods for Creating Complex Models
In this course, we will explain more complex models and procedures for working with them in broader context. Emphasis is placed on working with references and standardizing procedures. The course itself can be adapted to a certain extent according to the specific requirements of participants.
Minimum input knowledge
This course is intended for more experienced users who work with complex models and assemblies. It is suitable to have practical experience with creating 3D models from work on real projects.

Training syllabus Autodesk Inventor 3 - Methods for Creating Complex Models
Introduction
- Benefits of standardizing model structure and different approaches to standardization Explanation of the essence of chain references (elements are in sequence one after another and editing options are thereby limited). Benefit of creating elements using parallel structures. Use of auxiliary planes, auxiliary axes, other coordinate systems Shared sketches in parts and assemblies Creating 3D sketches iFeatures - libraries of frequently used model parts Introduction to models and assemblies with a "skeleton" - model skeleton Example no. 1. - creating an assembly using user parameters and forms Example no. 2 - creating a simple assembly with a model skeleton Example no. 3. - creating a more complex assembly with a model skeleton Direct edit function for models imported from a STEP file Advantages of the "combine" function in the tree structure of the model Introduction to table-driven models - configured parts and assemblies iPart and iAssembly Use of configured parts in an assembly

This course provides a slightly different view of using CAD programs and creating parametric 3D models. The modeling methods in this course are used when designing modular products where the logical structure of the model is important. Emphasis is placed on working with references and standardizing procedures. We will primarily cover parametrization levels 3 and 4.
