The retraining course Designer in AutoCAD I. + II. is intended for applicants who want to work in fields that require professional use of Autodesk AutoCAD. The package consists of AutoCAD I. with a duration of 2 days and AutoCAD II. with a duration of 3 days.

AutoCAD environment
- Working with the command ribbon and model space, working in a drawing template and layout, meaning of individual mouse buttons in AutoCAD, navigation in the model environment: zoom in, zoom out, move, zoom and pan, working with files: opening and saving files, opening templates and creating a template.
Basic settings
- Customizing the user interface: automatic saving interval, cursor settings, screen color and drawing units.
Command input
- Entering commands through icons and command shortcuts, including editing command shortcuts in a text file.
Basic status bar functions
- Displaying point coordinates and using helper commands: Snap, Grid, Ortho, Polar Tracking, Object Snap, Tracking and Dynamic Input.
Object selection and drawing
- Selecting objects individually and with a selection window, adding and removing objects from a selection, basic drawing commands such as Line, Polyline, Circle, Arc, Ellipse and Point, entering object dimensions and checking them, basics of hatching.
Editing commands and measurement tools
- Move, Copy, Stretch, Rotate, Mirror, Scale, Array and measurement tools for distance, angle, radius, area and volume.
Layer basics
- Principles of using layers, adding new layers, setting and editing layer properties such as color, line type and lineweight, deleting existing layers.
Blocks and groups basics
- Difference between a block and a group, creating a block, using blocks, managing a block library and editing blocks.
Text
- Single-line and multi-line text, setting text properties and editing text.
Dimensioning basics
- Linear, aligned, angular, arc length, radius, diameter, jogged and ordinate dimensions, setting dimension styles and commands such as Break, Adjust Space, Quick Dimension, Baseline, Continue and Update.
Drawing setup and print preparation
- Creating viewports, setting drawing format and viewport scale, preparing drawings for PDF printing and practical exercises to consolidate skills.
Advanced drawing techniques
- Polyline and its advanced use, quick object snap modes, advanced hatching techniques, efficient angle input, quick selection, parametric constraints and temporary point tracking.
Advanced editing techniques
- Break, Break at Point, Join, Edit Polyline, Edit Hatch, Edit Array and related commands.
Advanced dimensioning techniques
- Detailed overview of dimensioning functions and annotative dimensioning.
Advanced layer work
- Selecting layers by specific criteria and filtering layers.
Tables
- Setting up, creating and editing tables, export and import of tables, linking tables with Excel.
Express Tools
- Overview of functions, creating a custom line type and hatch.
Advanced work with blocks and attributes
- Creating and editing dynamic blocks, creating descriptive block attributes, pairing AutoCAD and Excel data.
Design Center
- Searching in Design Center, transferring blocks, dimension styles, layers, layouts, line types, tables and text from one drawing to another, inserting prepared blocks and using Design Center together with Tool Palettes.
Import and export
- Raster images, OLE objects, inserting text from Word and external references.
AutoCAD environment management
- Customizing the user interface and basics of using Script, LISP and Macro programming features.
