Labour Market Services Modernisation 2: what the 2026-2028 phase means for training
Training, ICT skills and clearer processes for employment services.
Slovakia’s Labour Market Services Modernisation 2 is not a general public training scheme. It is a Program Slovakia project focused on improving professional and digital skills of people working in employment services.
According to the official ÚPSVaR documents, the project runs from August 2024 to July 2028. For that reason, the accurate timeframe is 2024-2028, even though the topic will remain highly relevant throughout 2026 and 2027.
Who the project is for
The target group consists of employees of public and non-public employment services. This is not a broad retraining scheme for the general public; it is training for people who work with employment services and need to improve professional procedures, legislation, communication, digital tools or ICT-related work.
If you are looking for a subsidised course as an employed or unemployed individual outside employment services, the separate Skills for the Labour Market project may be more relevant. Labour Market Services Modernisation 2 has a different purpose and a different target group.
What the project supports
The official project description mentions two main lines: individual training and professional training for employees in employment services. The aim is better coordination of training, professional growth, adaptability and modernisation of expert activities, including the use of ICT tools.
For individual training, the project works with the selection of a suitable training provider on the open market, assessment of the relevance of the topic and reimbursement of eligible training costs in the amount of the course fee.
Why it matters in practice
Employment services work with diverse client groups, administrative processes, information systems and increasingly with digital tools. Good training can make the work faster, clearer and more client-oriented.
How Macrosoft can help
Macrosoft is a certified training institution and can help mainly with choosing relevant training and preparing practical course information. Final approval always depends on the competent project assessment and current rules.
