About the camp

A meaningful programme for children who want to create

Do you enjoy programming and would you like to program your own game? At the camp, you will enter the world of programming on the popular ROBLOX Studio platform. You will learn to create many types of games, code and also understand the principles of teamwork, creativity and other abilities in individual games that you program yourself and play with new friends. Time spent playing will therefore not be only about playing, but about developing a child's personality and soft skills. The goal of the camp is to discover your children's talent and encourage them to continue developing it. They will start using the computer at home also for creative work, not only for playing. Every young programmer also deserves a certificate, which we will give them after the camp ends. The day camp is intended for children aged 7 to 15.

The camp runs Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 16:00 in the Macrosoft training centre in Bratislava.

Programme built from real camp topics

Introduction to Roblox Studio

We will open the gates to our digital workshop - Roblox Studio. We will get familiar with the environment where the best games are created and learn to use the basic tools for moving, resizing and rotating objects. It is the first step to becoming creators instead of players.

Creating a Game World

We will let our imagination run free and design our own unique world! We will build mountains, dig rivers, place buildings and create terrain. We will learn to work with different materials and colors so that our map looks exactly as we imagine it - whether it is a mysterious forest or a treasure island.

Basics of Programming in Lua

Our world is beautiful, now we will breathe life into it! Using the Lua programming language, we will start creating magic. We will learn to write the first scripts that will control the behavior of objects. We will find out what variables and conditions are and program, for example, a disappearing platform, a key door or a teleport.

Practical Projects

We will combine everything we have learned and create our own game from beginning to end! We will start with a popular obstacle course (Obby), where we will program deadly lasers and moving platforms. Gradually, we will also move on to other mini-games so that everyone can take home their own game project that they can show to friends.
