About the camp

A meaningful programme for children who want to create

Do you enjoy programming and would you like to program your own game? At the camp, you will enter the world of programming web applications. You will find out how programming works and understand its principles. The goal of the camp is to discover your children's talent and encourage them to continue developing it. They will start using the computer at home also for creative work, not only for playing. Every young programmer also deserves a certificate, which we will give them after the camp ends. The day camp is intended for children aged 7 to 15.

The camp runs Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 16:00 in the Macrosoft training centre in Bratislava.

Programme built from real camp topics

Introduction to Programming in Minecraft

We will discover the hidden power of Minecraft! We will find out that with command blocks we can become real masters of the game. We will learn spells by which we can change day to night with one click, summon lightning or teleport to the other end of the map.

Basics of Programming

We will learn the language that the game itself understands. We will reveal how the logic "if this happens, do that" works. We will program traps that activate when someone steps on them, or secret doors that open only for us. We will find out how to make the game repeat commands and create an endless rain of arrows!

Practical Programming

We will turn all theory into amazing projects. We will create our own unique items such as exploding snowballs or a sword that throws an enemy dozens of meters away. The highlight will be programming our own mini-game - for example, an arena where we fight by our own rules.

Analytical Thinking

Even the most complex mechanism consists of small parts. We will learn to think like a real programmer: how to break down a large problem (for example, "build a bridge that repairs itself") into smaller, manageable steps and then solve them one by one.

Fun and Movement

Even Steve has to rest from digging sometimes! Between programming, we will clear our heads with sports games in the fresh air. Team fun and movement will give us new energy and inspiration for more creative ideas in our Minecraft world.
